Roya Was Here: A Film That Resonates, with a Soundtrack from the Heart
I am incredibly proud to share that the film Roya Was Here, for which I composed the music, has been nominated for the Feminist Impact Prize 2024. This prestigious nomination recognizes stories that not only move but also inspire change. It’s an honor to have contributed to a project with such a powerful message through my music.
Roya Was Here tells a story that highlights the strength and vulnerability of women. It challenges us to reflect on gender equality, resilience, and the ongoing fight for a fairer world. As a composer, it was both a challenge and a privilege to bring the emotions and themes of this film to life through music. My goal was for the music not only to support the narrative but also to speak where words fall short.
This nomination is not just an acknowledgment of the film but also a recognition of everyone who contributed to bringing this story to life. I am deeply grateful to the team behind the film for trusting me to give a musical voice to this remarkable production.
I hope this film, along with its music, continues to resonate with audiences and inspire positive change.
Let’s continue striving for a world where equality is not just an ideal but a reality.
